Ghana.gov is an independent initiative to make Ghanaian public services easier to access. It is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of Ghana. Answers are drawn from official agency websites, and every answer links to the agency so you can act there.
No account or signup is needed to explore Ghana.gov or use the service finder. You can search with a general question, without entering personal information.
These actions are not available here. Continue on the responsible agency’s official website to apply, make a payment or check your progress. Ghana.gov cannot access government records.
We regularly collect public information from the official websites of more than 200 Ghanaian government bodies. When you ask a question, we search that information, and AI writes a short answer using only what those official pages say, with links to the pages it used. Automatic checks remove any amount, phone number or link that does not appear in the cited official page. If the official sources don't answer your question, we say so and point you to the right agency.
Phone numbers, email addresses and ID numbers, such as Ghana Card, passport, SSNIT and voter ID numbers, are removed before your question is sent. If you attach a photo, screenshot or PDF, it is read on your device and never uploaded: only the text you check is sent, with the same details removed. ID documents such as a Ghana Card or passport are not accepted. Answers are written by AI, including our own Ghanaian-language model, using only official government sources. We don't save your questions, and your chat disappears when you leave. If you rate an answer, we keep that question and answer anonymously, with personal details removed, for 90 days so we can fix mistakes. Linked agency websites have their own privacy policies.
Official pages are sometimes out of date or disagree with each other, and our answers can be wrong. Every answer lists its official sources so you can confirm current requirements, fees and deadlines with the agency before you pay or travel. Use the thumbs-down under any answer to tell us.
Yes. You can look up general services for a family member, friend or someone you support. Use general terms such as ‘Ghana Card’ or ‘passport’; you do not need their identity number or other private details.
There is no confirmed launch date. The roadmap shows ideas that would require a future partnership with the Government of Ghana and participating agencies. No partnership is currently in place.
There is no separate Ghana.gov app. You can explore the website in a browser on your phone, tablet or computer.
